| The second process that the color laser-engraver can achieve is a black etching. Now unlike the regular black laser engraving that can only produce single shade images, the color process creates a multitude of shadows, which creates depth throughout the piece. The final result is a much more bold, complete image that is extremely eye-catching. And as quick as you can create a white laser etching, a black one takes the same amount of time. The black engraving process is created by burning the metal at certain temperatures and certain degrees of the laser. How deep the laser goes into the metal depends on how dark part of the image is going to be. Again, this process is so highly refined that it enables us to produce almost life-like images without using a real photograph! The resolution that is used in this process is extremely high, making the images so crisp and brilliant. Look at the image of the man in the suit. Notice the life-like details that are made up throughout the picture. The sharpness of the laser is so precise that it can get inside the eyes of the man, giving him a sense of life. |
